What’s there to say? I reached a point in my life when I realized that in all of my busy-ness I’d forgotten about my creative self, the part of me that took time to appreciate the mystery & wonder of life. I used to promise myself that would never happen, but here I am. This little blog space is part of my attempt to reclaim those parts of myself. It may be that what I put here is of value to no one but myself. That’s ok. Or perhaps you’ve wandered over here and find some of it interesting. That’s ok, too. Welcome!
In addition to writing, I am something of a photographer. All of the photos shared on this site are my own, unless specifically attributed otherwise.
If you would like to contact me directly, I can be emailed at thisgirlremembers at gmail dot com.

It seems you’re just doing this as a hobby but you could make a career of this. I’m just stunned by some of these photographs (and believe me, I love photography and I’ve seen a lot of photos.)
What type of camera do you use? (If you don’t mind).
Best wishes!
Hi Tee,
Thank you so much – I love photography, and have dabbled in professional work, mostly in photographing live theater (pro bono so far), and actors’ headshots (a huge market here in Los Angeles!), though I’d love to break into the fine art world. However, I do have a full time job that I love that keeps me very, very busy – so for now the business end of photography is at most a sideline, and I do it mostly because it feeds my soul. And all the more so if someone else enjoys them, too.
The camera I use these days is a digital SLR – a Nikon D70s (I’m salivating over the new D80, but can’t afford to upgrade yet). Every now and then I may post older shots taken with my old 35mm Nikon 8008, or even the point-and-shoot digital Olympus I had while saving up for the SLR.
Excellent – thanks for the tip off. I love photography and I want to get a nice camera eventually. I’ve just got a cheap Samsung :p
I’ve been torn between Nikon and Fuji – but if I can get anywheres near the quality of your shots with a Nikon, I’ll get that… someday!
Keep up the great work. I’ve bookmarked you and will be back
Amazing photographer. Glad that you are taking time for your creative side!
great site! is your avatar picture one of your photos as well? reminds me of some of the graphic design used on promotional material and website of our local theater company http://www.perseverancetheatre.org/Perseverance%20Theatre%20-%201/HOME.html
Thank you, Jonas! Yes, that photo is mine as well, of a statue in the collection at the Getty Villa near Los Angeles.
It is so great to “meet” you. I found my way here via your comment on my post today on Create-a-Connection. Your blog looks so interesting and I definitely look forward to reading more.
Cheers!

like what you are doing very much.
Funny how our creative side often becomes the first casualty of maturity/life/relationships, isn’t it. And yet it’s this side of us that most closely represents our true selves.
Writing and photography and fine arts. Worthy pursuits.
Things that are forgotten. Are not forgotten but just stored for the time being. Kudos for creativity.
I am seriously blown away by your photography. Do you not sell it at all? I would love to buy some of your prints.
There is a lot of nice photography out there but yours is just so moving.
Thanks so much for giving us a chance to win some during the OWOH extravaganza.
