She got tangled up in her dreams, sometimes.
It wasn’t because of money (or the lack of it).
It wasn’t about the time that dreaming took or the
Thousand other things that drew her gaze away.
She didn’t know quite what it was about,
To tell the honest truth,
But she understood this much –
Sometimes the life you want to live can drag you down.
And perhaps tomorrow wishes would come true,
But for today, this life was enough.

Three Word Wednesday prompt: money, tangled, understood

Profound, this really hit home, it is delicate and lovely and has great structure. The last line really completes it.
I wish I was that wise, but
Liked the structure also
I know how she feels-so busy thinking about what you want to achieve that you don’t enjoy the present. Nice that she’s able to put it on hold, for today. I agree with jo. The words are very delicate.
Wonderful sentiment in that piece. How many todays have been whiled away in longing for tomorrow?
Very wise words in that little poem.
Sometimes the life you want to live can drag you down.
I really liked that. Made me stop and think.
A compact way of throwing in so much food for thought. Deep!
